The Formula Explained
Minimum curing days are based on BS EN 13670 adjusted for UAE temperature: above 45°C requires 14 days minimum, above 38°C requires 10 days, above 30°C requires 7 days. Higher concrete grades add 3 additional days.

Wet hessian covered with white polythene sheeting gives the best results. White polythene reflects heat unlike black which absorbs it. For walls and columns, use a curing compound spray applied immediately after formwork stripping.
Can I use a curing compound instead of water curing?
Yes, for surfaces that cannot be easily wetted. Use a Class 2 curing compound (white pigmented) conforming to ASTM C309. Apply immediately after surface finishing at the specified rate.
