The Formula Explained
Room Area = Length x Width. Order Area = Room Area x Wastage Factor. For tiles: Pieces = Order Area divided by Tile Area. For timber planks: Pieces = Order Area divided by Plank Area. Skirting = 2 x (Length + Width) in metres.

Do I need underlay for tiled floors in UAE?

How much skirting do I need for a room?
The calculator gives you the room perimeter in metres. Deduct approximately 1.5m for each door opening. Skirting is sold in 2.4m or 3m lengths in UAE — divide perimeter by length to get number of lengths needed.
